Aims & Objectives
The clear objective of Blueprint Food Service is to mitigate any environmental impact by:
• Implementing an appropriate environmental management system that ensures the consideration of the environment in all processes and procedures.
• Establishing and maintaining a defined methodology to monitor, measure, analyse, and review our environmental initiatives and systems.
• Reducing energy consumption wherever reasonably practicable.
• Optimising energy efficiency through investment in innovative technologies.
• Allocating sufficient resources to enhance our overall sustainability.
• Engaging all staff in understanding how their actions affect our energy use, waste performance, and sustainability, fostering a culture of accountability and responsibility.
• Minimising waste production by implementing comprehensive recycling systems and investing in carbon-neutral waste disposal methods.
• Strengthening relationships with suppliers to enable data sharing and collaboration, allowing us to monitor and reduce scope 3 emissions.
• Considering the effect of our operations on the local community and engaging with them to improve the local environment.
• Identifying and complying with all relevant environmental legislation and regulatory obligations, both directly and indirectly related to our business activities.
• Reviewing and updating this policy and our management system annually.
• Distributing responsibility among senior management to safeguard these sustainability goals and actively promote them within the business.
